Class A Uniform

Parents should get uniforms for their scouts. We refer to this as “Class A” uniforms. The Pack will provide scouts with their current rank/den neckerchief and slide.

Tigers through Bears (1st-3rd grade) should get the blue shirt. Webelos can wear either blue or tan shirt, we suggest new 4th graders get the tan shirt. AOLs (5th graders) should be wearing the tan shirt. Lions (Kindergarten) can either get a blue uniform shirt to match the older scouts, or get the Lion T-shirt. Anyone wearing a Blue Uniform shirt should also be wearing blue pants. Anyone wearing the Tan Uniform shirt should be wearing Olive colored or khaki pants.

If you want to order everything new online or at the ScoutShop (1800 Circle 75 Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30339 or 203 Swanson Dr, Lawrenceville, GA 30043), you can do that. If you can find a shirt on ebay/facebook marketplace/hand me down from a friend, etc, I’d look into it as a more cost effective solution. You can either sew patches on yourself, or the scoutshop will  sew patches on for $3/patch.

Here’s a guide for how patches are to be sewn on https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/33066/33066_Cub_Scout_Insignia_WEB.pdf?_gl=1*1djhdfj*_ga*NzE0NjE5ODMzLjE1ODU3NjA2NTg.*_ga_20G0JHESG4*MTYzMTQ4MTExNS40OC4wLjE2MzE0ODExMTUuNjA.

Lion T-shirt
Uniform Blue Shirt (1st-3rd grade) – https://www.scoutshop.org/cub-scout-youth-short-sleeve-uniform-shirt-navy-641589.html – We suggest buying “big”. A medium on a first grader will be big, but it will last until 4th grade when they can get a tan shirt.

Den Patch

Lions (Kindergarten) if they get the Uniform shirt will get Den 6

Tiger (1st grade) will get Den 5

Wolves (2nd Grade) will get Den 4

Bears (3rd grade) will get Den 3

Webelos (4th grade) will get Den 2

Webelos/Arrow of Light (5th grade) will get Den 1

Optional items include:

Rank hat (depends on grade/den).  here’s a link for the Tiger hat – https://www.scoutshop.org/cub-scout-tiger-rank-uniform-cap-blue-641335.html Note there’s two sizes. Scouts should get the Small/Medium – the Medium/Large fits my head. I’m not sure how to order a particular size online (if you want a hat, check the in person scoutshop)
Pants – https://www.scoutshop.org/cub-scout-youth-switchback-uniform-pants-navy-606114.html These pants never fit well. If you want to substitute any blue shorts/pants that’s fine.
Socks – not many people have rank socks, but if you want them, get the socks for your scouts rank. Each rank has their own socks (yellow/blue for Lion, Orange/blue for Tiger, Red/blue for Wolf, light blue/blue for bear, and green for Webelos). Here are Tiger socks – https://www.scoutshop.org/cub-scout-coolmax-tiger-rank-crew-socks-blue-and-gold-610943.html
