Dues are changing a little bit this year. Existing Scouts and new Scouts will pay different amounts because of BSA changes to their dues policy.
Dues must be paid via the Pack online store (even if you owe $0) at
http://stage.pack2143ga.org/shop
Instructions for paying dues
1) If you have decided scouting isn’t for you – do nothing. You’ll drop off our roster by not paying dues.
2) If you are an adult that requested an adult T-shirt, received your T-shirt, and owe money for your T-shirt, select “Pack 2143 T-shirt” to pay the Pack cost for your T-shirt. If you’re unsure if you owe money for your adult T-shirt, please ask me.
3) If you sold enough popcorn so you don’t have to pay dues (see Column I in the sheet sent via email), select “Popcorn Free Dues 2024 – Pick this if you owe $0 for pack dues after Popcorn Credit” in the store. This is to indicate “yes, we plan to continue scouting”. You will pay $0, but we want a paper trail showing you intend to continue scouting. If you owe $0 in dues, and don’t do this, you’ll be dropped from the Pack 2143 roster.
4) If you sold some popcorn, but not enough to pay dues, you will receive a separate email from me in the next few days with a coupon code. Please do not pay dues without entering your coupon code. If you are not done selling popcorn, please wait until you are done to pay dues.
5) If your scout joined August 1, 2023 or after – Select “Pack 2143 Dues for 2024 if you registered August 1, 2023 or later” to pay Pack dues of $150. That will register you up to the 1st of the month 12 months after you registered (i.e. if you joined August 25, 2023, you’ll be registered through August 1, 2024)
6) If your scout joined before August 1, 2023 – Select “2024 Pack Dues – joined before Aug 1, 2023”. That will register you through Dec 31, 2024.
For new scouts as of August 1, 2023.
You will be asked to pay for 12 months of scouting to BSA. This simply registers you as a scout, and must be paid to BSA on an annual basis. If families do not pay next year, they are automatically removed from our roster and mailing lists by BSA. There are additional Pack dues to cover program expenses as outlined below.
